AI Processing — Explicit Consent

This is a separate consent document, distinct from the Privacy Policy. You must give this consent separately to use Mendum’s AI features. Without it you can still create an account, browse the app and view your existing records.
What you are consenting to
You give explicit consent for the following data to be transferred to Google LLC’s Gemini AI interface for question analysis, solution generation and personalized practice-question generation.
Data that is sent

Data that is not sent
Your name, email address, account identifier, location and other account data are not sent to Google. What is transferred contains no information that directly identifies you.
Where is it transferred?
To Google’s AI infrastructure, which is outside Türkiye. Your consent therefore also constitutes explicit consent to an international transfer under KVKK Art. 9.
The transfer happens through our own server, not directly from your phone; access credentials are not embedded in the app.
What you should watch out for
Any handwriting, marks or notes you made on the paper are transmitted as part of the image. Do not upload photos of papers that show your name, student number or other personal information. Frame only the question itself.
What happens if you decline?
These features will not work:
- Question analysis from a photo
- Mistake-cause diagnosis
- Step-by-step solution generation
- Personalized practice-question generation
- AP FRQ scoring
These continue to work: your account, mistakes you saved earlier, your notebook, your statistics, and practicing with previously generated questions.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw this consent at any time, without giving a reason:
Profile → Legal → AI Processing Consent
No further transfers occur from the moment you withdraw. Withdrawal is not retroactive; solutions and questions generated earlier remain in your account, and you can remove them individually or by deleting your account.
We keep a record
Which version you accepted, in which language and when, is recorded on your account. This record exists so we can meet our obligation to demonstrate that consent was given. If the content of this document changes materially, the version number is raised and your consent is requested again.
